Festivities began with the annual Prize Giving in the Chapel, recognising students’ achievements and contributions across all areas of College life. Afterwards, the entire College assembled for the traditional Parade, a highlight of the day and a moment filled with emotion, especially for the upper sixth.
Marching out onto the parade ground with their divisions for the final time, the upper sixth students were visibly moved as they marked the end of their Pangbourne journey. This year’s parade was taken by Caroline Bond, one of the College’s longest-serving female members of staff and Assistant Head for Pupil Mental Wellbeing, adding a particularly special touch to the occasion.
Following a short break, students, staff, and families gathered once more to give the leavers a traditional Pangbourne send-off. The Guard, after countless hours of dedicated practice, delivered a spectacular display that showcased their skill and discipline. In a moving finale, they lined the driveway in honour of the upper sixth, who marched off the parade ground for the very last time.
As they prepare to embark on the next chapter beyond Pangbourne, we extend our warmest wishes to all our leavers. We look forward to welcoming them back to the College in the years to come, confident that they will carry the spirit and values of Pangbourne with them wherever they go.
